COVID-19 Collection Service Update

As a solid waste collection company, we are an essential service and will continue to operate in the midst of this pandemic. We are committed to putting the health and safety of our employees, customers, and communities first while doing so. For the safety of our drivers, we will only collect waste that has been placed inside your cart. You can expect our solid waste collection and disposal to operate on a normal schedule. However, we do have some temporary changes to our yard waste and recycling services (in areas where those services are offered) that we want to let you know about.

Yard Waste

Yard waste pickup would normally begin on April 1. Best Way will suspend this service until further notice in order to prioritize residential collection, which is the industry-wide focus during these unprecedented times. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and resume this service as soon as we possibly can.

Recycling

Recycling services will continue, but with two exceptions:

1) if there is excessive contamination in the recyclables collected;

2) if the recyclable processing facilities limit or cease operations, Best Way will have to dispose of recyclables in the same manner as it would dispose of solid waste.

Best Way will resume its full scope of collection and recycling services as soon as it safely can. Please know that all of our offices, transfer stations, and affiliate landfills remain open for business and can accept materials that we may not be collecting for this limited period of time.
